JKBOSE Shares Important Update on Practical Exams for Class 11th – Students Must Take Note

JKBOSE Announces School-Conducted Practical Exams for Class 11th
Srinagar, March 08 – The Jammu and Kashmir Board of School Education (JKBOSE) has announced that the External Practical Examination for Class 11th (Higher Secondary Part-I) in the Annual (Regular) Session 2025 will be conducted by the respective schools. This applies to both Soft Zone and Hard Zone areas of Jammu and Kashmir, as well as Ladakh.
According to an official notification, the practical exams will take place after the conclusion of theory examinations in both zones. Schools are required to organize these exams based on the revised syllabus and course structure outlined in an earlier notification dated May 27, 2023.
To ensure smooth evaluation, the Heads of Institutions have been instructed to submit the practical exam awards to the Joint Secretary, Secrecy JD/KD, and the relevant sub-offices within 10 days of completion. This step is crucial for maintaining the academic schedule and ensuring timely declaration of results.
This move by JKBOSE is aimed at making the examination process more streamlined and efficient. Allowing schools to conduct practical exams locally is expected to reduce logistical challenges and provide greater flexibility for both students and institutions.
The board said that all schools and authorities must strictly follow the issued guidelines and deadlines. Any deviations could affect the processing of results, potentially causing delays for students awaiting their academic progress.
With this change, students can expect a more organized and school-friendly approach to practical exams, reducing stress and making the evaluation process smoother. Schools now hold a significant responsibility in ensuring the exams are conducted fairly and in line with JKBOSE regulations.
