J&K Govt Announces Promotion of Teachers to Master Positions, Download List Here
Srinagar, February 3, 2025: The Directorate of School Education Kashmir (DSEK) has approved the adjustment of 368 trained graduate and post-graduate teachers as Masters in various educational institutions across the region. This decision follows a departmental promotion committee meeting held on November 23, 2024.
As per the official order which lies with the educational portal Jkboseexams.in, a total of 372 teachers were promoted to the position of Masters with effect from July 6, 2024, on a notional basis. However, four of these teachers have either retired or passed away, leaving 368 teachers eligible for their new posts.
The promotion is aimed at ensuring the efficient functioning of schools by filling vacant Master positions. The selected teachers will now be assigned their new roles based on available vacancies, as detailed in the order issued by DSEK.
Teachers are also required to provide an updated vigilance clearance certificate, satisfactory Annual Performance Reports (APRs), and a declaration that no court cases or investigations are pending against them.
Moreover, teachers who fail to join their new positions within seven days of receiving the order will be presumed to have declined the promotion. Furthermore, the promotion is conditional upon the teachers meeting specific eligibility criteria, such as holding a genuine appointment and not being under suspension.
The final list of promoted teachers will be published with their respective postings in the coming weeks. Teachers have been asked to join their new roles as per the outlined time frame to ensure smooth transitions.
