Guidelines for Reopening of Schools After Winter Break in Kashmir

Guidelines for Reopening of Schools After Winter Break in Kashmir
The Directorate of School Education, Kashmir, has issued instructions for reopening schools on March 1, 2025, after the winter break. Schools should celebrate this as a welcome event to create a happy and friendly atmosphere for students.
School heads (HoIs) must ensure that schools have a festive and welcoming environment to encourage students to return. They should also complete important tasks like preparing timetables, organizing sanitation, and making other necessary arrangements before reopening.
All required facilities, such as drinking water, electricity, toilets, and window panes, must be checked and repaired if needed before schools reopen. The Biometric/JK Attendance Portal should also be updated and in working condition with current staff details.
Schools must be kept clean and decorated to make them look welcoming. Cluster Heads should arrange awareness sessions in their areas to help schools get ready according to these guidelines.
The Directorate of School Education has stated that all these instructions must be followed properly. Copies of this notice have been sent to the Financial Commissioner, Chief Education Officers, and Zonal Education Officers for necessary action.
